Community plan
Our Community plan gives informal groups who bring people together some of Kebler’s paid features at no charge: higher limits, team access, reminders, guest list exports, and more. We offer this to help promote social connection and belonging.
Who qualifies
A group qualifies when all five of these are true. The first matters most.
- Its gatherings are about people meeting people. Getting to know each other is the point, not a side effect. Someone who doesn’t know anyone can show up and be welcomed, and people come back. Book clubs, walking and running groups, game nights, coffee meetups, newcomer meetups, craft circles, and volunteer-led peer support groups fit. Gatherings mainly for selling, recruiting, fundraising, or promoting a business or cause don’t, and neither do events that are mostly for watching or listening, like talks or performances.
- It’s an informal group. It isn’t a legal entity (a nonprofit, church or other religious organization, business, school, or government body), and it isn’t a program, chapter, or ministry of one. A student club registered with its college can qualify if it gets no funding.
- It holds no money. No dues, donations, sponsorships, grants, or student activity funds, and no group bank account or balance carried over. People splitting the actual cost of a gathering, like snacks or a room fee, is fine as long as nothing is kept for later.
- It’s run by volunteers. Nobody is paid to organize it.
- Its gatherings are free to attend, apart from that cost-splitting.
Who uses Pro or Org instead
If your group is part of a nonprofit, church, school, or business, or has money of its own, it uses Pro or Org, even when the gathering itself is about connection. A nonprofit that hasn’t received donations yet is still an organization.
Not sure? Start on Free. It covers 3 upcoming events with up to 50 guests each, and nothing is lost if your group moves to Community later.

How to ask
Email hey@kebler.org with:
- your group’s name and what your gatherings are,
- how often you meet and about how many people come,
- the address you’ll sign in with.
We’ll check against the criteria and reply. A Community plan lasts 12 months; to renew it, email us before it ends.
If things change
If your group starts collecting dues, takes a sponsor, or becomes part of an organization, it no longer qualifies: move to Pro or Org. If we learn a group doesn’t meet the criteria, we may end the plan. Either way, the account moves to Free and its events and guests stay.
